How we help

At HRT K9, we are dedicated to supporting disabled Veterans by providing fully trained service dogs. Our goal is to help them regain independence, improve their quality of life, and actively engage in the community. We firmly believe that these individuals have sacrificed enough for our country and therefore do not charge for our services. Our commitment is unwavering, and we are honored to assist those who have served selflessly.

I need a dog

Veterans can apply to be matched with a fully trained dog from our kennel. Once matched, both the Veteran and the dog will undergo individualized training tailored to address that Veteran’s specific needs.

I already have a dog

If a Veteran already has a dog that they are bonded with, we can do an assessment to determine if the dog has the right temperament for service work. If so, we can work with the Veteran to train their dog in specific tasks to fit their needs.

I need dog snuggles

We invite Veterans who could use some dog time to come be a part of the socialization and training process for future service dogs.
